Both dreamt of their wedding near water and after seeing Canoe Restaurant, 54 floors above the city of Toronto, it was the perfect choice. With breathtaking views of the city and the lake it provided the feeling and look they were after. In keeping with the natural elements that inspired the design for Canoe, Chelsea and Nick decided to have photos taken around the city to capture the various ‘landscapes’ they love so much. We started the day on Ward’s Island which gave us incredible views of the water and skyline. Next we went to the University of Toronto for family photos and the natural stone buildings were a perfect backdrop. Then before heading to Canoe, we stopped by the Waterfall near First Canadian Place for a few downtown photos.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family, their ceremony was intimate and sentimental. They exchanged heartfelt vows (with some tears) that identified perfectly with their relationship. Chelsea said it best: that it was all about the right person, the right place and the right time. That Nick was that person and it took timing and the perfect place to line up before they would realize it. They have a love story meant for a movie and it was clear to everyone around them that they are perfect together. After their ceremony, guests enjoyed an incredible dinner at Canoe – something the restaurant is known for and one of the main reasons Chelsea and Nick chose the location. Next, they enjoyed speeches full of love and laughs by their family. The sky gave us the most spectacular sunset over the city to end such an amazing day and the St. Royals put on an incredible show to get everyone dancing into the night.
The recurring joke throughout the night was how Chelsea had always said she was never getting married. Well, Nick made a liar out of her and she couldn’t have been happier. It was such an honour to have been a part of their wedding – and to call them friends – congratulations guys!
Chelsea and Nick did a mini first look in the lobby of the Royal York Hotel before heading to Ward’s Island.
Chelsea’s Rosa Clara dress was everything she was looking for: timeless, vintage, classic, and modern all rolled into one.
The Ukrainian dance moves made it to the dance floor! Nick’s mom and sister showing everyone how it’s done.
