I’m finally almost done catching up on sharing photos from the Europe tour the Mr. and I did awhile ago. (The first three stops are here, here and here). Our fourth stop was Prague, one of my favourite cities from the trip. There’s so much ornate beauty everywhere throughout the city – cobble stone roads, rusty red rooftops, dark statues, gold accents, stained glass windows, and colourful buildings to name a few. Walking around the city there’s this mix of old-world and modern – you have a subway/metro system under the city and then the Prague Castle perched up high on the hillside acting as a constant reminder of the city’s older roots. There’s Gothic touches throughout the architecture that give the city this eerie, dark vibe and then there’s a romantic feeling to it as well. There’s love locks and the John Lennon Wall with years and years of messages of love on it. Looking back at these photos makes me want to go back and explore those cobble-stone streets again and enjoy some of the best food I’ve ever eaten – sigh!
