Hey there!

Posting photos from past travels has this wonderful effect on me. Sorting through all the images brings me back to those exact moments and why I snapped the shot to begin with. I’m overwhelmed with emotions of happiness and gratitude that I was fortunate enough to travel to these places and that I’ll have these memories forever. This is one of the main reasons why I love photography so much – those moments can be re-lived over and over each time I look at a photo and I’m brought back to some of the most memorable and important moments in my life.

Paris was one of those cases. Going through these photos has not only brought out my travel itch but also a sense of calm and contentment remembering all I experienced there. The Mr. and I started a Europe tour with Paris and it was the perfect place to start the trip. Now we weren’t there for very long but we made sure to make the most out of each day. Our quaint hotel was burrowed in the Marais and we started each day at the cafe down the street with one two croissants and a café au lait then headed into the metro off to our next adventure. Our first day was probably one of the best days of my life. The moment I first saw just the tip of the Eiffel Tower I squealed! And coming out of the metro on our way to see it I might have been slightly running to get there. When I finally was standing under it I actually got teary-eyed I was so overwhelmed with emotion. This was a place that I had dreamed about since I was a little girl. I had wished and hoped and just imagined what it would be like to be there and then it all happened in that one moment and hit me, that I was finally there… I could literally touch it. (Funny enough, this would not be my first emotional break-down of happiness in Europe). The city definitely won my heart and I’d love to go back to experience each season and devour endless plates of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. Sigh! Take me back!
