Happy 30th Birthday, Robin!

Today is the day that I attempt to write a thoughtful note, express gratitude, and spoil the one I love most in life. It’s his birthday and as I write this out, it almost seems silly because it couldn’t possibly express or show how thankful I am to have him in my life.

It was three days after his 23rd birthday when we had our first kiss. I had been interested in him for a little bit but he seemed oblivious to my smooth attempts to hang out (I swear I was super smooth). It was Saturday night. He was out at a club with his friends celebrating his birthday. I was out at a club with my friend celebrating alcohol music ;) I can’t remember who texted first (I say it was him) but he found out which bar I was at and convinced his friends to go there. We danced the night away to ‘classics’ like Poker Face and I got a Feeling and might have consumed a few too many drinks. Maybe it was the liquid courage or that it was his birthday or that I really liked him but I kissed him when we went to get drinks at the bar. After that, we started dating and each day we spent together I fell more and more in love with everything about him.

All these years later, I’m just as excited to celebrate his birthday and though our lives sure have changed since we were that ripe age of 23, I’ll take spending the night making out with him over anything ;) Each day I ask how I was so lucky to be married to someone so sweet, so caring, so funny, so handsome, and so talented! He makes me laugh every day – seriously every day! He embraces all my silly habits and he still likes me when I clog the drain with my hair. He’s done so well for himself in his short time on earth and I can’t wait to see what else he accomplishes. I’ll always be his biggest fan helping him dream bigger and trying to make him laugh louder. I owe him a lifetime of thanks for choosing me to share his life with.

Happy birthday Robin!
